Step by step

  1. Step 1: What an extension can doAdd buttons to emails and work orders (for example 'Raise purchase order'), give the assistant new tools (for example 'Supplier balance' from your finance system), react to events such as new work orders, and call StrataWorx's API.
  2. Step 2: Create it in StrataWorxGo to Extensions › Add an extension. Tick the access it needs (read, or read and write). Copy the client ID, client secret and signing secret it shows once.
  3. Step 3: Start from the starter kitThe starter kit in the developer guide is a single file with no dependencies. Run it anywhere with https: Vercel, AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Google Cloud Run or SAP BTP.
  4. Step 4: Connect and loadPaste the extension's https address as the Endpoint URL, save, click 'Send a test request', then 'Load from extension' to pick up its buttons and AI tools.
  5. Step 5: How it stays safeStrataWorx signs every request, with a timestamp and unique ID so it can't be replayed. Your extension uses 15-minute tokens limited to the access you ticked. AI tools that change things wait for a person to confirm. Pausing an extension stops it at once.
Tips
  • Read-only users never see extension buttons.
  • Every call is listed under Activity, and button clicks and confirmed actions are in the audit log.
